Intermountain Therapy Animals' Major Annual Fundraiser!
At Dogtoberfest, there will be fun, music, food, an auction, beer, and MORE! Please join us to celebrate our 30th anniversary!
We are a human service organization dedicated to enhancing quality of life through the human-animal bond. We call it "Pets Helping People," or animal-assisted therapy and we are now celebrating our 30th year of serving along the Wasatch Front, and we have grown to be one of the largest groups of our kind in the world.
"Therapy animals open the doors, so that healing may begin." Healing is a very personal process. A patient/client must choose to walk that often-difficult path before other supporting factors can really help. What therapy animals do best is function as catalysts, helping patients rekindle their desire to heal, to decide that life is worth living, and to get on with the hard work of therapy. They inspire thousands of smiles and peals of laughter that are often the first steps on the road to healing. They inspire the clients' families as well, who often despair the lack of progress of their loved ones.
